Facebook could be fucking up relationships or so says a study by the University of Guelph in Canada.

I can attest to this. I stopped using MySpace and Facebook some time ago and wish my girlfriend would do the same. When I was active on my personal pages, she would read into everything from my status updates to my mood. I also have to admit sometimes I would change those things to piss her off. None of this was healthy for the relationship.
My girlfriend won’t be getting off the social networking sites any time soon. She’s hooked on seeing what people are doing. She loves digging into people’s lives…or at least the virtual picture people paint of their lives. She hasn’t gotten into twitter yet, but on Facebook she does, sometimes, update when she goes tot he store, enjoys dinner, and watches a movie….all in the same day/night.
I also don’t like how anytime my girlfriend takes pictures of us or her friends take pictures with she or I in them,she/they post them on the internet. I’m seriously considering only being in pictures that I take of myself. These people don’t even ask you if it’s okay to post these pictures.
Also, how catty my girlfriend and her friends are is fucking ridiculous. I don’t feel like hearing about who’s top friends with who, someone’s status update, pics she may have been cropped out of, etc. My girlfriend and I have enough problems in real life between each other. Why the fuck would I want to hear about stupid internet tiffs and why the hell does my girlfriend care so much in the first place?
